Spyker bringing LWB C8 Laviolette to Geneva

Dutch supercar company Spyker may still be wrestling with its financial demons but that doesn’t mean it won’t be presenting at this year’s Geneva Motor Show. After undergoing a management shakeup and major refinancing, Spyker made the hard decision that it would have to drop plans for its stunning C12 Zagato supercar. This was followed by rumors that Spyker would stop sourcing its powertrains from Volkswagen and would instead switch to something cheaper from America. Despite all the cost-cutting, we now we have news Spyker will be displaying several production models and concepts at the upcoming Geneva Show including one new model.

Tipped to be on display is the previous D12 sports SUV, the current C8 Laviolette GT2R race car, a regular production C8 Spyder and an all-new C8 Laviolette long-wheelbase (LWB) model (SWB model pictured), reports Autoblog.nl. This will be followed by a LWB version of the C8 Spyder, complete with a modified electric folding soft-top. Production of the LWB body, like that of the SWB model, will be handled by Karmann and first sales of the car should start by the end of the year.
