Webasto Light Concept to feature at Geneva
December 31st, 1969
For anyone unfamiliar with Webasto, it’s a German-based automotive parts supplier that specializes in roof and convertible systems for cars as well as heating and cooling systems for commercial vehicles. The company has been developing products for major carmakers for more than a hundred years and its latest design will be on display at next month’s Geneva Motor Show in the form of the new Light Concept.
The theme for the new concept is ‘Moving Innovation’ and it will showcase the technologies of Webasto’s two automotive divisions, the Convertible, Roof & Body (CRB) group and Global Comfort Solutions (GCS) unit. Some of the innovations we can expect include a new folding roof design and intelligent hydraulic heating system.
Pictured above is the previous Webasto Welcome2 Concept car from 2003. Based on a Mercedes CL500, the concept was developed to promote the new ‘PanAirama’ roof and convertible folding mechanism.
