KTM X-Bow ‘Dallara Series’ appearing in Geneva
December 31st, 1969
KTM’s X-Bow first appeared in production trim close to a year ago, debuting at the 2007 Geneva Motor Show, however in the twelve months that’s passed since then the X-Bow is yet to see the light of day. According to KTM, production is set to start in the middle of this year and to signify the event a special edition X-Bow ‘Dallara Series’ will be rolled out at next month’s Geneva Motor Show.
After the initial batch of Dallara cars have been built and delivered, of which there will be 100 units, the regular series X-Bow models will enter production. The Dallara cars will get some extra features and possibly a unique pearl white paint scheme as opposed to the standard orange of the regular models.
All KTM X-Bows will come with a 2.0L four-valve engine, delivering 300Nm of torque between 2,200 to 4,000rpm. Drive is sent to the rear wheels via a six-speed manual and a mechanical slip differential. Thanks to direct injection and turbocharging technology, the X-Bow is able to manage this level of output and still meet strict Euro 4 emissions standards. You can check out full details about the X-Bow in our previous story by clicking here.
Dallara is a race car specialist located near Parma, Italy, and the new X-Bow is actually a joint-effort between the Italian firm and KTM.
