Two models will be available: a 700hp (522kW) supercharged model and a 999hp (748kW) twin-turbocharged version
Enlarge PhotoUgur Sahin, and his self-titled Ugur Sahin Design group, have now joined forces with Ohio-based Mallett Cars to start building the cars. You may remember Mallet as the same company that offered a widebody V8 conversion for the Pontiac Solstice, and now it will be working on fabrication and engine tuning of the limited Corvette series.
The custom Corvette Z03 is in fact based on a humble Corvette C6 (or optional Z06), a car that already features an excellent chassis to build upon. Co-founder of Ugur Sahin Design, Axel van Mourik, was impressed by the Corvette's proven track record in motorsports and this ended up making it an attractive choice for the design company.
The range topping model is expected to weigh somewhere around 1375kg, making it some 20kg lighter than the Z06 although there have been other reports stating that it could be up to 40kg less than its donor car. Power will come from either a supercharged LS7 7.0L V8 with around 700hp (522kW) on tap or a 999hp (748kW) version of the engine fitted with a APS twin-turbo system. Other modifications include a new fuel system, ported heads, reinforced internals, a high-flow exhaust kit, a custom shifter and unique badging.
The project has had help from various partners, including former Corvette chief engineer, Dave McLellan, which should ensure that the Z03 drives as well as it looks.
Pricing of the conversion of your Corvette C6 or Z06 into the stunning Z03 starts at $69,000 for the full bodywork, and increases by $32,700 for the supercharger kit and $ 35,795 for the twin-turbo system.

I don't really think it looks that good.

I'd have to agree w/ SuperSkyline 89 - it looks mediocre at best. Seems like its milking all it can out of the 60s Vette designs.

Similarities in shape and proportion between the Vandenbrink GTO and the Corvette Z03 concept are caused by two factors. First the original ferrari 250 GTO and the Corvette C3 have many proportional similarities. Second reason is that Ugur Sahin has been responsible for the entire 3D visualisation of the Vandenbrink GTO. He is the man that created all visualisations of both projects

meh...even if it ends up looking good (which it doesnt) its still gonna drive like crap with an innate innability to turn corners (being a vette) !

Why is everybody comparing to vandenBrinks GTO? or C8 or, or...
There's only one car one should compare this design to and that is the ugly
Corvettes made this last decade(s). Compared to that this car would be very welcome and I even believe Ugur Sahin Design has found a niche here!!
I feel this design to be breathtaking and I am not even a Corvette fan.
Ugur, thanks!!!

The Corvette is the best handling and performing car for the money! period. Not even the so called supercars can keep up with the new ZO6 on the "RIng"
Looks damn fine to me
looks like a cheap knockoff....and with all that power you will be able to rack up the statistics of uneducated drivers wrapping these platic bodied death traps around lamp posts all over the US. it was better when desinged off a F550 at least then the exclusivity meant that more sensible drivers will be behind the wheel. Now it wil ljust belong to the jocks and their brainless gf's
