December 31st, 1969 This latest promotional video for the BMW M3 gives us an inside look at one of the engine’s cylinders as it’s fired up, all captured by high-speed camera magic. To film the process, photographers had to dissect manifolds, shave cylinders and drill-in special lighting holes. In total, three V8 engines were sacrificed for the clip, which you can watch in full after the jump.
