Production Chevrolet Camaro to debut at Sept. Indy

With all the excitement of the recently launched Dodge Challenger it’s easy to forget that another American muscle car is just around the corner. Chevrolet’s new Camaro, which first appeared in concept form at the 2006 Detroit Auto Show, is finally set to debut in production trim with the announcement that the car will appear at the Indy '08 Back at the Brickyard event in mid September.
The organizers of the event, Central Indiana Camaro Club (CICC) supposedly in conjunction with Chevrolet has confirmed the production Camaro will be on show at the event and in a number of different color, trim and engine combos. GM is yet to release a formal statement about its presence at the event.
The 'Back at the Brickyard' event will be happening in Indianapolis, Indiana, from September 19-21 and is expected to be attended by hundreds of Camaro, Firebird, and Pace Car owners. GM executives will be in attendance as well to discuss the design, engineering, marketing, and accessories for this new Camaro.
A handful of near production Camaro prototypes have been spotted completely undisguised in recent months but we are yet to see the interior of the car, which so far has already been concealed.

Its ugly , the grill needs some work. It will sell but then people will realize that they actually dont like it and that it was all hype , Just like the Chrysler Bently look-alike . People realized then that just because the bently cost a lot of money doesnt mean that the car is nice looking..
The design had potential but mostly only grandpas will like it. If there was only a way to fit an Ecotech to the Camaro chasis it be a 450hp 4cyl 2002 camaro

i like its agressiveness...looks like godzilla (the hollywood version)....sort of a grown up version of the Opel/Vauxhal/Holden Astra

dodge designed the challenger based on the old chalenger....ford designed its mustang based on the old mustang....chevorlet is doin the same with this camaro it is based on the old one...and i think its just great becaz all of thee cars have lots of drama...
