Infiniti G37 Sedan added to U.S. lineup

December 31st, 1969 Nissan’s updated 3.7L VQ-series engine has already found its way into the Infiniti G37 Coupe and will soon appear in the all-new Convertible, but Nissan has also added the silky smooth V6 to its 2009 Infiniti G37 Sedan in the North American market. The 3.7L DOHC V6 is rated at 328hp (245kW) and 270lb-ft (366Nm) of torque with a 7,500 rpm redline, giving it an edge over its predecessor, the 3.5L V6 found in the G35 models. The new model also gets an optional seven-speed automatic transmission, and still comes standard with a close-ratio six-speed manual. Other features include a revamped brake system with optional four-piston front calipers and 14-inch rotors by Akebono, an electronically-controlled seven-speed auto transmission and optional split five-spoke 18in alloy wheels. Exterior features include redesigned side mirrors and a new scratch resistant paint formulation. Inside, seat heaters get new switchgear. The remainder of the equipment stays essentially the same, with base, Journey AWD and Sport models available. Four-wheel active steering (4-WAS) is also an option on some models. Three different trim levels are available starting with the base G37, and then followed by the G37 Journey and G37S Sport. An AWD version, in the form of the G37x, is also available. The new range goes on sale next month.Infiniti G37 Sedan

  1. Truly an awesome car. You see quite a few of them here in Southern California, and they are quick and sound pretty fierce as well.
The styling is a bit ho-hum but so are most sedans these days.
I look forward to the 370z, now that is some unmistakeable styling.

  2. Take it over a 3 series any day.

  3. This car has come a long way, and I am really glad that Infiniti/Nissan have given the public what they want, and need without making you pay some rediculous price! The G series alone is a great car!

  4. ...Also, this car can be, and is used globally. It should do well in each market.

  5. I would not take it over a 3 series, because the 3 series at least offers engine options, and I am the sort of person who likes more then one engine choice.

  6. Never was a fan of rear lamp design. Put me off instantly.

  7. It's a Japanese thing, everthing they make seems to be severly slanted and skewed these days.
