Production Chevrolet Volt spotted on Transformers 2 set

Production Chevrolet Volt spotted on Transformers 2 set

December 31st, 1969 The production Chevrolet Volt is still a few weeks away from its first official reveal but images of the car have surfaced thanks to filming on the set of the Transformers 2 movie, which it is set to appear in. The 'Volt' name can clearly be seen at the rear of the car as well as on the side-mirror, while the rest of the images reveal a number of different angles for the upcoming plug-in hybrid. The details are still fuzzy, since it's a long-distance and low-resolution video, but the general shape of the car is clear. A fortuitously timed leak of some grainy interior shots appearing on the Motive Magazine forums have reportedly revealed what the interior of the car will look like as well. Though these are far from the high-resolution press shots that will accompany the Volt's debut, the long-administered teaser process for the car appears to have come apart at the seams. A second video of the car was also captured by a reader of the Transformers Live Action Blog (seen below), showing it clearly in motion and under its own power, though whether the car is fitted with the final drivetrain, a test mule apparatus or a stand-in conventional engine is unclear. Though the suspense as to the car’s final looks may be over, at least in general terms, there remains much to be revealed at its official unveiling, rumored to be at GM’s centenary celebrations on September 16. 2010 Chevrolet Volt Transformers 2 spy shots 2010 Chevrolet Volt interior spy shots 2010 Chevrolet Volt Transformers 2 set spy shots2010 Chevrolet Volt interior spy shots

  1. I will never buy it, but it looks good from the shots, hope it sells well for GM.

  2. If there were a catastrophic event involving liberals and their Prius's or any other proclaimed green vehicle I'd be the first to celebrate.

Although I will admit if this is GM's Voilt in its final "out fit" they have got a winner. Its been well reported the next Prius will look not much different than the current one. Its the poster child of green chick cars but this Volt is something a man could drive and not have to leave his wedding tackle at the curb.

    Go GM!!!

Question, would I buy one? Yes for the wife a registered Democrat and Obama phile!!! (my vote cancels hers thankfully) That way when she borrows my truck I could drive her volt and still have my dignity.

  3. Hmm... The shape looks pretty interesting, but wow, that color is just dreadful :( Either way, looking forward to seeing this in reality at NAIAS...

  4. wheelsonwalls.com, there is no vote cancelling in the great process, every vote counts, even if your canidate loses, end political topic on a car website.

  5. NoNameDenton- I cannont end such a request, why you ask? It would be safe to say that what is in the modern automobile today was put there by laws that where written by a politician.

It would appear that what powers our cars wiil soon be on that list of seat belts, airbags, head lamp height, and (in Europe) the space between the hood and the top of the engine so as to protect pedestrians.

  6. Agree with Wheels, both on the Vote and the Volt.

    Good looking car, no question.

  7. Politics should be kept off a car site.

  8. Politics and cars often collide, just ask those living in London.

And if you're an auto enthusiast who doesn't want taxed into zero-emissions oblivion, vote McCain.

  9. Sometimes they collide, but they also cause very nasty arguments, and that should be avoided when possible, and I am now done talking about this. Pick something else, like a comment that has to deal with the topic.
