With 500hp on tap and a massive 1,000Nm of torque available from a low 1,750rpm, the new V12 TDI is the most powerful engine on offer in the Q7 range and is also the most powerful diesel engine offered in a production car.
The 0-100km/h time should take just 5.5 seconds and top speed will be an electronically limited 250km/h. Despite the superb performance numbers, the engine’s fuel economy figure is rated at 19.8mpg (11.9L/100km) and it already meets Euro V emissions standards due in 2010.

Wow, what a BEAST!
Cool technology. What does 11.9 l/100km equate to in American mpg?

Holy mother of god.... And I thought that VW's V10 TDI was the max in diesel engines... If ever the Queen Mary gets stuck in a sandbar just throw a rope and tie it to this monster and it'll pull it right off!

19.8 is pretty good for that kind of power!
I don't know about that HUGE grill, though...

I definitely like this one. Naturally, the engine, but also the much cooler exterior design.

The best SUV in the world, in my opinion of course... It's powerful, fast, nice looking, great interior, economical and enviroment friendly (Euro V emissions standards)...
