  • Retarded ignition timing will make them run hot. Of course, you have to disconnect the inline ESC plug in order to time it with a timing light. Reference:Cam designer/manufacturer & full competition race engine builder. Read More
  • get it hot, take off the radiator cap, or do it before, and look in the radiator. "careful", see if there are any bubbles popping up. if there are you have a head gasket leaking into the cooling system. rev the motor and watch good. not much left unless the... Read More
  • timing does it run bad? when the water pump was changed it could have knocked it out of time
  • Air dam that goes under the front bumper. Got to look at what it's doing and what causes what. Its harder to cool one while siting still than it its at speeds. Sitting still its all on the water pump, fan, and rad. While at speeds, wind takes care of most of the... Read More

Why should I also consider these?

Competitors for the 2010 Chevrolet Camaro fall in to several categories dictated by which Camaro you're considering.

The most obvious competitors are the Camaro's traditional nemeses: the 2010 Ford Mustang and 2009 Dodge Challenger.

We prefer the base Camaro to the base V-6 Mustang or Challenger because the Chevy's engine/transmissions are flat-out better.

However, the newest Mustang GT is plenty refined and stands out as a great value with a V-8.

The Mustang Shelby GT500 manages to eclipse even the Camaro SS's formidable punch, with 540 horses.

The Challenger R/T and SRT8 provide two different levels of V-8 power packaged around a larger five-passenger interior.

If you're looking at other coupes with V-6 engines and automatic transmissions, the Toyota Solara could be your car if you prefer a duller drive with less iconic style.

Sporty coupes like the 2009 Nissan 370Z and 2010 Hyundai Genesis Coupe might be up your alley if you're considering a Camaro with a V-6 and a six-speed manual.

The Camaro is unabashedly American in its styling, but the refinement of its powertrain and suspension are easily the match for these imports.

2010 Ford Mustang
Nostalgia is still a big part of the appeal, but the 2010 Ford Mustang is now every bit a modern, refined sport coupe.

2010 Hyundai Genesis Coupe
For $22,000, the 2010 Hyundai Genesis Coupe 2.0t represents a heck of a performance value.

2009 Dodge Challenger
Let the burnouts begin! The Ford Mustang finally has another domestic competitor.

2009 Nissan 370Z
The Nissan Z has never occupied the top spot in the performance world—and it doesn't now—but it's still a great performance car that starts just under $30,000.
